Essays the Matter

Beloved educator and author, Katherine Bomer, joins TheEdCollab for this inspiring session on supporting students with essay writing that... yes... they want to write and we will enjoy reading! Katherine is author of The Journey Is Everything, Hidden Gems, and other titles that remind us to keep students at the center of our instruction. In this session, she will share practical strategies and big picture methods for revamping your teaching of essay. Freeing you, and your students, from the often dry, formulaic writing that often holds students back from expressing their thinking in compelling ways. This session will challenge your essay practice, support students writing growth, and give you an opportunity to rally your teaching team around exciting new work.
