Session 6 – Research on What Matters Most to Readers

Donalyn Miller, author of The Book Whisperer, cofounder of Nerdy Book Club and TheEdCollab member, and Kristi Mraz, coauthor of A Mindset for Learning and TheEdCollab member, will lead you through a critical hour of reflecting on best-practices in reading in light of research. There are many conflicting ideas of how to develop strong readers, this hour will bust myths and highlight essential practices for engaging readers, improving their critical thinking, and inspiring mindsets for growth. The session, as all Study Series session, will include a plethora of curated resources. Bring your notes, this session will leave you with lots to reflect upon!
