Manage The Moving Parts

Tricia Ebarvia, TheEdCollab Member, literacy educator, and cofounder of #DisruptTexts, and Elizabeth Lacy-Shoenberger, TheEdCollab Fellow and literacy educator, lead this session on getting all of the moving parts of an effective workshop in place. Learn how to use standards based assessments coupled with culturally responsive instruction to feel empowered to make all the pieces of workshop flow and students feel ownership over their work in ways that are both rigorous and personally meaningful. In this jam-packed hour, Tricia and Elizabeth will help you answer some of the predicatable questions related to effective reading and writing workshop so you can feel empowered to best support students (while making the best use of your limited time!). Bring your workshop questions, as the interactive session will also provide you with many opportunities to learn from Tricia and Elizabeth as well as interact with others.
