Study Series Sesssion 3: Digital Tools for Reading, Inquiry and Collaboration
Digital Tools to Support Reading and Thinking
Special guests, Katie Muhtaris, co-author of Amplify: Digital Teaching and Learning, and Mia Leonard, a multi-technology-certified early childhood educator and coach, will lead this session exploring ways digital tools can support reading, amplify thinking and voice, and invite greater student creation and collaboration. From very young through older learners, technology integration within literacy classrooms can increase achievement—when thoughtfully planned and implemented. Harness tools in meaningful ways can help readers share, connect, and develop ideas. Join these two experts in using technology for a purpose to learn ways to incorporate digital tools into your literacy instruction that raise student achievement, engagement, and self-esteem. This not to be missed session is for educators, coaches, and leaders, whether you are only considering integrating more technology into your literacy work, are just beginning, or have been doing so for years.
