Kristin Ziemke is a member of The Educator Collaborative consulting network. Co-author of Amplify: Digital Teaching and Learning in the K-5 Classroom (with Katie Muhtaris) and Connecting Comprehension and Technology (with Stephanie Harvey, Anne Goudvis and Katie Muhtaris), Kristin pairs best practice instruction with digital tools to transform learning in the classroom and beyond. She is a nationally recognized expert in technology integration and in particular has garnered acclaim for her work with early childhood classrooms. As an elementary educator in Chicago and as an international consultant, Kristin engages students in authentic learning experiences where reading, thinking, collaboration and inquiry are at the heart of the curriculum. She is An Apple Distinguished Educator, National Board Certified Teacher and Chicago Public School’s Tech Innovator of the Year for 2013.
Pernille Ripp is a member of The Educator Collaborative consulting network. She is author of Passionate Learners – How to Engage and Empower Your Students, now in its second edition, and Empowered Schools, Empowered Students. She is an expert in literacy and technology integration and dedicates her research and practice to developing engaged and empowered students and communities. She is a Skype Master Teacher; Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert; recipient of the 2015 WEMTA Making IT Happen Award; and the 2015 ISTE Award for Innovation in Global Collaboration. In 2010, Pernille founded The Global Read Aloud, a global literacy initiative that began with a simple goal in mind: one book to connect the world. From its humble beginnings, the GRA has grown to connect more than 1,000,000 students in 60 different countries.
